Patch #4 for Future Fragments


PATCH #4 IS NOW LIVE!

You can actually consider this sort of a "part 1" of Patch #4: there were a LOT of things we got prepared for this build, but either didn't have the time to fully integrate (like the huge amount of additional SFX coming soon) or that we were having issues with, so we wanted to give it some more time to fix issues (like the full gallery).

So, within a week or two, expect another patch that should add in a lot of those things that we had mostly done!

HOW TO REFRESH/UPDATE TO THE NEW PATCH:

In the steam client, right click on the game in your library list, select properties from the dropdown list, then in the Local files tab select Verify integrity of game cache.

If everything verifies correctly then you should have the latest patched release on the Steam servers.

  • Pretzels in P2M3 of the Uncharted Wildwoods
  • Carpset Dewuji in P5M1 of the Uncharted Wildwoods
  • Dr. Spear Alin in P1M1 of the Uncharted Wildwoods
  • Robbie in P5M4 of the Uncharted Wildwoods
  • Lux Lynns in P3M6 of the Uncharted Wildwoods (top area of module)

NEW FEATURES:

  • NPCs now have "sparkling auras" around them to make it even more clear they're NPCs
  • NPCs cannot be killed from off-screen anymore
  • The "bounce a shot off of an Ice mirror" achievement works as intended now
  • Added multiple resolution options to the settings menu
  • Added an option to lock aspect ratio when manually resizing the game window
  • Game window resolution resets to normal if you maximize and then minimize window
  • Global flags added for endings across save files
  • Game no longer freezes when manually saving
  • The "endings bug" is finally fixed: all 21 True Endings should load now, as intended.

CUTSCENE FIXES / ADDITIONS:

  • Finished implementing Yulia Lel / Daniel manually triggered cutscenes in the Top Hub of The End
  • Finished implementing second half of Faye / Moitodersk scene in Map 33 of The End
  • Proper sound effects added to parts of DAVE's auto-destruct scene in P4M5 of the Celodst Resupply 
  • Proper sound effects and expressions added to parts of Godric Vainstein's scene in P3M3 of the Celodst Resupply
  • Improved readability by reworking the text for a few endings
  • Added voicework and fixed text for the P1M2 snowball-related scenes in the Celodst Resupply
  • Added voicework for 6 of the True Endings
  • Added voicework for all "In Between Map" timer-based help scenes
  • Added voicework for Faye P6M2 scene in the Gratification Factory
  • Added voicework for Abandoned Bot scene in P6M5 in the Gratification Factory
  • Added remaining voicework for double machine scene in the Gratification Factory
  • Added voicework for Faye P3M3 scene in the Gratification Factory
  • Added voicework and extra variants for Faye potentially saving you in P4M2 in the Gratification Factory
  • Fixed Bad Ending from softlocking at the end of the scene
  • Fixed a few lines of missing text/voicework in scenes including Gorwyn (The End), the Throne Room, and Dr. Jamison Toomar (Uncharted Wildwoods).
  • Fixed inconsistency with Clean scene in Uncharted Wildwoods by adding a new event branch
  • Fixed a lack of poses/expressions for Talia during returning to the Save Pad in the Gratification Factory
  • Fixed a lack of poses/expressions for Talia during all cutscenes in the QARooms in the Gratification Factory
  • Faye now doesn't spawn in P3M3 or P6M2, as intended, if you ignored her in those areas and then proceeded to run into her in P4M2 or P2M2
  • Vie now correctly checks your Gold Databank count before deciding whether or not to trust you after the Uncharted Wildwoods
  • Silver and Spartacus's cutscenes now correctly interact in the Celodst Resupply

OTHER CHANGES / FIXES:

  • Changed the layout of a few rooms slightly in the Gratification Factory pre-Boss "maze" section to fix visual errors and smooth out janky gameplay in some rooms
  • Changed the layout of P3M5 in the Celodst Resupply to make hitting the top laser crystal a lot less annoying
  • Changed the layout of a few rooms slightly in the regular Gratification Factory maps too, to allow for other events to happen
  • Added more connections between a few more maps in The End
  • Added a new "Shifted Realm" version for EndMap 37 in The End
  • Not a bug, but three Ideal changing-events were removed from Von Like in P4M5 of the Celodst Resupply for consistency in how Ideal points are usually given/taken away (the actual dialogue/flags set are untouched, you just don't get/lose Ideal points for them now)
  • Fixed wrong tile on P4M2 of the Volcanic Mines
  • Edited layout of top part of Hub map for Uncharted Wildwoods slightly for better movement flow
  • It won't be in this patch, but spent a huge amount of time finally organizing what sound effects we'd already commissioned yet that hadn't been implemented + commissioned a huge amount of additional sound effects to flesh things out more, so expect those soon
  • Made separate gallery-based versions of all H-scenes with NPCs + bosses + environmental traps + second h-animations from the Stealth area for the gallery; they're not in this build, but they will be in the next!
